A shout out to Kim

Meet Kim. She's a lawyer in NYC who I met on the train, knitting the same exact sock pattern I was knitting! http://yarnyoldkim.typepad.com/.

Kim -- when I walked off the train yesterday, about 5 rows up was another knitter! I was rushing off the train and couldn't say hi, but that makes 3 of us in one car at the same time.

Talk about infiltration. Hehehe.

It was great meeting you on the train! I haven't yet posted the photos of you and the Monkey socks, but later today for certain! A third knitter on the train! Our numbers are growing and soon we'll take over the world! mwahhaha.

Wow, small world! I surfed over from Kim's - another biking knitter hailing from Exit 151.

My knitting and my headphones are what make the train ride bearable every day. I get some curious stares but I just keep on going. Very few folks are willing to ask. Either they are shy or they recognize a latent movement in their midst and they are afraid!

My youngest daughter has a brand spanking new job in the greater Boston area. Since she is sans car at the moment, she's been taking the train both ways...for a total of a 3 hour commute each day. She's been complaining of how boring and long it takes. I keep laughing..without any sympathy...since the kid refuses to learn to knit
(yes, evil mom here)...I keep thinking of how much I'd get finished if I were on that train each day!
